ABout Me

Salon Owner – Transformational Coach – Educator

Change begins when we challenge the lens we’ve been living through.

I’m Angie Goudie. I’ve spent my entire adult life in the hair industry, starting as a Saturday girl, to opening my own salon, and now building a movement, one that values diversity, excellence, and communication, as much as technical skills.

If you’re ready to get started, you can view the current courses on offer, or keep reading to find out more about me and Gaudi Coaching & Education.

Angie’s Story

The Journey Behind the Chair, and Beyond

At 15, I got a job as a Saturday girl in a salon. At 22, I opened my first salon. I had no clue what I was doing. No roadmap. Just guts and a drive to create something meaningful. I call that phase foolish, not failure. My career has been anything but linear. From mobile hairdressing to cruise ships… part-time shifts while raising my young children… and eventually founding Gaudi Hair, my Bristol-based salon in 1997, that I’ve led and loved to this day.

I’ve walked through the highs… and the heaviness.

My partner Steve and I have nurtured the most beautiful family, they are our world above anything else. We’ve built our home with love, our business with resolve, and have friendships we are proud of.

And life, in its fullness, has brought challenge alongside joy.

Losing my dad at 16, my brother more recently, friends, clients and acquaintances, shaped how I hold space for grief. I’ve rebuilt after devastating floods, stood our ground through a long legal battle, navigated separation and reconciliation with grace, and cared for my mum in her later years after her stroke.

These were setbacks, real, painful ones.

Through every challenge, I gained more than just survival. I found a deeper resilience, an alternative perspective, greater empathy, and a quiet inner strength that now lives in the way I coach, lead and teach.

Coaching found me…

Volunteering in the mental health sector gave me huge insight to other peoples’ worlds and from there, my fascination with how the mind works only deepened.

I trained as a transformational coach, then an NLP Master Practitioner, with certifications in Time Line Therapy and Hypnosis. This wasn’t a business pivot. This was a calling.

What I saw, and still see, is an industry full of talent and beauty… yet also doubt, burnout and the quiet belief that we’re not quite “enough” to rise.

That’s where my work lives now.

Education Or Coaching?

After training as a teacher and assessor, I began noticing the same pattern:
So many learners doubting themselves at the first hurdle. Not because they weren’t capable, but because of the stories they’d been told and were still telling themselves.

Mind management = progress.

Without it, we stay stuck. With it, anything becomes possible.

Today, I combine education and transformational coaching to unlock both skill and self-belief because one without the other is incomplete.

What if you’re not stuck… just carrying too much?

You’ve probably been holding more than most people know. Quietly. Strongly. Gracefully. Even when it felt like too much.

I understand that.

Because before I became a coach or educator, I was this woman walking through the full spectrum of life, with all its highs, heartaches, and hidden weight.

I believe:
  • That grief, burnout and reinvention are all part of growth
  • That healing and growth can co-exist with ambition.
  • That it’s not always about learning more, it’s about unlearning the limitations we never chose
  • That confidence isn’t something you wait for, it’s something you build.
  • That education should feel empowering, not intimidating.
  • And that we’re all more than capable, once we stop letting fear lead.

Whatever brought you here, know that you’re not too late, too tired, or too far gone.

You’re right on time.

And your next chapter doesn’t have to look like your last.
