Real Hair. Real Models. Real Confidence. Accredited
IN-PERSON AFRO HAIR TRAINING
Ready to transform the way your salon team works with Afro & textured hair?
Our small group, hands-on training days lead by experts will empower your team to care for Afro and textured hair with respect and confidence.
Small group, expert-led. No judgement, no fluff. Watch. Ask. Practice. Master.
We know that for many salons, textured hair still feels like a grey area, too easy to avoid, too complex to approach confidently.
If you’ve ever avoided Afro hair because you were afraid of causing offence or “getting it wrong” this training day is for you.
Learn how to work confidently and respectfully with Afro hair in a hands-on, emotionally intelligent environment that’s designed for professional stylists ready to close the education gap.
In-Person Salon Day
Why This Training Matters
Most hairdressers were never properly taught how to work with Afro hair.
You’re not alone if you’ve ever felt…
❌ Nervous to say the wrong thing
❌ Unsure where to even begin
❌ Worried about damaging the hair
❌ Silently avoiding Afro clients, even though you care
❌ Ashamed that you still don’t feel confident
It’s not your fault. But it is your responsibility .
You can’t offer inclusive services with guesswork. You need guidance, space to learn, and honest, respectful education.
skills backed by knowledge
What You’ll Learn
We’ve trained our entire team from the ground up, established stylists as they join our team, taught stylists who were too afraid to ask questions. Stylists who have been avoiding Afro hair for years, and salon owners who wanted to offer inclusion, but didn’t know how.
They all walked away changed. And confident.
Now it’s your turn.
You don’t need to know everything. You just need to start somewhere safe, supported, and an openness to learn
Inclusive Hairdressing Starts Here.
When you empower your team with the right knowledge, tools, and guidance, you’re not just offering new services. You’re creating a salon that sees everyone.
We believe every stylist should feel confident and capable working with all hair types — and every client deserves to feel safe, seen and respected.
What To Expect from the Day
This isn’t surface-level. It’s a deep dive, in a safe space. You’ll walk away knowing exactly how to approach, consult, care for, and style Afro hair types with clarity and confidence.

What Other Teams Are SAYing
We loved that it was hands on and the whole team was engaged the whole day due to Angie and Jas’s fab teaching.
Sally and team -Derby
The friendly welcoming atmosphere (thank you!) And the hands on approach – that what service each model was having was organised prior to the training so was made clear for us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to complete the Texture Love digital course first?
We highly recommend it. The in-salon day builds on the digital course and brings the learning to life through hands-on experience. If you haven’t enrolled yet, we can create a bundle package for your team.
What’s the difference between the online course and the in-salon day?
The digital course is your foundation, covering theory, curl types, product usage and culture-based consultation, as well as how to implement into your business with lifetime access.
The in-salon day is your activation, practical, live, model-based learning tailored to your team, your setup, and your questions.
Together, they create true transformation.
Can the training be adapted to our team's experience level?
Absolutely. Whether your team is brand new to Afro hair or already offering textured services, we’ll tailor the day to meet them where they are and build from there.
How many team members can join?
We recommend 6-8 stylists for optimal hands-on time, but we can adapt based on our space and needs. Larger teams can be split over multiple sessions.
Do we need to provide models?
We will provide models at our salon in Bristol.
We encourage you to provide local models if possible if we are at your salon (we’ll guide you on hair types to invite).
How long is the training day?
A standard session runs from 9.30am–5pm with a break for lunch. We can adjust timings slightly based on your team schedule.
What equipment or setup do we need?
Just your usual salon stations, a working backwash, and your team! We’ll provide a prep checklist beforehand to make the day smooth and successful.
Can we split the cost or pay in instalments?
Yes! We offer flexible payment options to support small salons. You can pay in full or split the cost over 2 payments.
Do we get a certificate or CPD credit?
Yes. Our course is accredited and your team will receive a Texture Love In-Salon Training Certificate, and we’re happy to support CPD documentation if required.
